This son of Caravaggio has improved with every run and looked to relish the step up to a mile to win unchallenged at Southwell last month. He had Illuminated a length and three-quarters behind in second with the field nicely strung out. He has to give that rival 4lb so it should be close between that pair again but the extra yardage here I think will suit the selection better so he gets the vote to come away with the prize again. They both look nice horses going forward so it should be a race that works out well in time. Nathaniel colt Aegis Power is lightly raced and ran well when second at Newmarket back in October. He is also open to improvement so shouldn’t be entirely ruled out but might need a bit more time and experience to be seen to best effect.
