The consistent JEMS BOND (best price 5/1) reacted really well to first-time cheekpieces to win convincingly over 6f here last month. He drops back into handicap company here and steps back up a furlong in trip but if he is in the same form he should take all the beating. I’m quite surprised to see 5/1 on offer so hopefully he can land us a juicy winner. He was only beaten 2 lengths over C&D back in January and is clearly in better form now so looks to have plenty going for him. Aquamas is favourite at the time of writing but remains a maiden so that tells you the lack of quality in this race. She was a respectable third here last time but definitely needs more to get off the mark. English Spirit ran creditably when fourth last time but needs the blinkers to help again if he is to trouble the selection. Rocket Rod best of the rest but also a maiden and needs to find more.
