14:33 Newcastle

I can see the thriving DAWN RAIDER (best price 2/1) bringing up a hat-trick of wins at Newcastle on Saturday. He might be a 10yo but he has won very easily the last twice and even an 11lb hike might not be enough to stop him going in again. He stayed on strongly to the line at Leicester and if he repeats that sort of performance here I think it will see him come out on top under valuable 3lb claimer Kevin Brogan. Barden Bella arrives in good form and she could emerge as the danger to the favourite. She won well at Fakenham in January and then bumped into Eleanor Bob at Chepstow which is form that has been well advertised since. Of the rest Broomfields Kan is quite interesting as he wasn’t disgraced in fourth at Wetherby. He goes back up in trip and could also have a say in this but he is still a maiden which is slightly concerning.

The front 3 all have claims here but I’m keen to side with NIGHT NARCISSUS (best price 2/1) for Clive Cox. This Kodi Bear filly clocked a career best winning readily over 6f here last month and up just 6lb I think she can follow up. She has clocked some decent speed figures in defeat in the past and looks to be putting it altogether now. She should relish going back up a furlong in trip and I think she ticks more boxes than most in here. The main danger Amber Island obviously won nicely over C&D last time but she can be a bit inconsistent at times and that would have to be a worry for me. If she does back that win up she is obviously a big player but enough for me to side with the selection. Khatwah is 3 from 5 over this trip so is comfortably best of the rest but might just be bumping into one. The rest all have enough to find to feature here.
