With ROCKSTAR RONNIE (best priced at 5-2) unsuited by soft ground, he has had a short break and now returns back at a track where he has an unbeaten record. The Dan Skelton trained seven-year-old won by 4 ¼ lengths over 2m2f here in November before following up by 13 lengths on his next start over the same course and distance under a penalty.

Rockstar Ronnie was aided by the fall of the reopposing Sebastopol last time but the pair meet on 10lb better terms in the favour of Rockstar Ronnie and he should prove hard to beat off a mark of 132 down slightly in trip to 2 miles.

The Jonjo O’Neill trained TIME TO GET UP (best priced at 7-2) won this race last season off a mark of 138 and he should hold strong claims off a 4lb higher mark. The nine-year-old won under similar conditions last year by a length before getting a sighter of the Grand National fences in the Grand Sefton Handicap Chase over an inadequate trip of 2m5f.

Time To Get Up ran well to finish 3rd in the Grand National Trial at Haydock last time over 3m4f which should put him spot on for this race and I feel he should prove hard to beat with first time cheekpieces fitted.

The Scott Dixon trained HARBOUR VISION (best priced at 6-1) has won both of his starts in Class 6 handicaps and the seven-year-old now drops down to this level for the first time since August 2020. His previous victory came off a mark of 73 when trained by David Brown and he has now slowly dropped down the handicap since joining Scott Dixon down to a mark of 66.

Harbour Vision has run with credit on his previous two starts when only beaten 2 ½ lengths off a mark of 68 and 1 ¾ lengths off a mark of 67 so this mark of 66 looks fair and it means he now drops into this 0-65 Class 6 handicap off top weight with up to four places available.
