14:55 Ludlow
The lightly raced HAMILTON DICI (best price 9/4) can get himself back in the winners enclosure at Ludlow on Wednesday afternoon. This Coastal Path gelding only had a couple of starts over hurdles winning on debut for Jane Williams at Warwick. He has the stamp of a chaser and also made a winning start in this sphere again at Warwick back in November last year for Kim Bailey. He was beaten twice after but that was in two decent races and given time since he looks well placed to make a winning return. He is clearly a horse that goes well fresh and when he won at Warwick he jumped accurately. He should have a bit in hand off a mark of 117 so gets a confident vote to come out on top. Cilluirid is a very solid yardstick who has already won 3 times over fences this season so he could be the danger. Didn’t find much the last day though which has to be a bit concerning.

This looks a good opportunity for GODREVY POINT (best price 9/4) to win again now he has his head in front. I know he was entitled to win at Hereford last time and did make hard work of it but he still looked a work in progress and was nicely on top at the line for me. His second to Skytastic at Doncaster looks top form and with further progress in handicaps I think he’ll follow up. Turning Gold likes to push forward too so he might given him a nice toe in the race and he could always be dominating once in front in the closing stages. River Walk still has potential and looks the danger for the red-hot McCain and Hughes. He ran below par at Musselburgh last month but is better than that and this longer trip might help. Thegallantway is capable on his day but pulled up at Exeter when last seen and has a bit to prove off the back of that. He should appreciate coming back over hurdles.
