Going chasing has definitely brought out the best in FELTON BELLEVUE (best price 15/8) and with recent form figures of 22121 he looks sure to run a big race again. He is up 10lb from that Market Rasen win but that was impressive coming 5 lengths clear at the line and this switch to a better surface certainly won’t count against him. He remains open to further improvement in this sphere and I think he’ll prove too strong for Our Idic Boy who is the most likely danger. He tackles fences for the first time so could improve but he lacks experience and might do better for the outing. Of the rest Leskinfere finally opened his account over C&D 8 days ago but this will definitely be tougher under a penalty. Thais Toir has a squeak as he should come into his own now up in trip but he is 4lb out of the weights which has to be a worry.

Tim Pat showed a good attitude to bring up the hat-trick at Haydock yesterday and he would be feared if turned out quickly but I still fancy GUETAPAN COLLONGES (best price 15/8) to come out on top for Charlie Longsdon. This horse is unexposed over fences and took a big step forward off the back of an encouraging third at Uttoxeter to win by 14 lengths at Wetherby in January. He defied a 9lb rise in the weights to follow up at Market Rasen despite lacking fluency over his fences. That looked a decent handicap for the level and a further 4lb rise is unlikely to prevent him bringing up the hat-trick. Brother Pat likes this C&D and ran well in the Lincolnshire National in December but did take a tumble last time so will need to bounce back to land a blow here. Donald McCain remains in great form though so he has to be feared still.
