The progressive FLYING NUN (best price 9/4) can bring up the hat-trick at Hereford on Friday. This mare has really found her stride since going handicapping over hurdles and again showed a good attitude to prevail narrowly at Taunton last month. She is up slightly in trip again which should help and a further 5lb rise shouldn’t hold her back too much. She remains open to further improvement and I can see her being strong in the betting for this. Rose Ohara is very lightly raced but didn’t show much off the back of a wind op at Taunton last month. She could step forward but certainly needs to on handicap debut. La Domaniale was a good fourth at Newbury in what looked a decent race and if she improves again she should also be in the shake up. Go Chique has gone off the boil and will need to bounce back to have a say in the finish here.

The good looking LYNNS BOY (best price 5/2) ran a monster race on debut for this yard when third at Lingfield back in December. He improved plenty from that to power clear at Southwell last time and he is 2lb well-in here under a penalty. It’s still very much early days for this 4yo and he looks a cut above this level for me. Marco Ghiani will likely push forward from a wide draw and if he dictates he will take a fair bit of pegging back in the closing stages. Blackcurrent loves this C&D and arrives on a hat-trick now so has to be feared. He is off a career high-mark now though so it won’t be easy. Cowboy Soldier has won over track and trip in the past but hasn’t got his head in front for a long time and only if the market springs to life about his chance could I consider him. Joshua R is consistent and might not be that far away at the finish.
