War In Heaven is chasing a hat-trick and has to be respected but I think this is more competitive than the market is suggesting and I’m keen to take a chance on MY DUBAWI (best price 5/1) coming away with the prize. This horse has been largely progressive since getting his head in front over C&D back in October and he followed that up convincingly at Wolverhampton in January. He was beaten at Southwell last time but only went down half a length and the winner Tiber Flow is a perfect 3-3 and looks a nice colt in the making for William Haggas. He remains open to further improvement and with Youthful King likely to go hard off the front he might always be in the box seat to pounce under Joe Fanning. The favourite is obviously respected but he will need to improve again and Gold Medal is the other one that is feared on his handicap debut.
