The Dan Skelton-trained GET A TONIC (best price 3/1) looks a good bet to carry top-weight to victory at Ayr on Friday. This likeable mare was beaten just half a length in Listed company at Doncaster last time and she looked a bit unlucky too. The winner Fonzerelli had won her previous start by 6 lengths and they had the likes of Miss Fairfax, Gazette Bourgeoise and Eureka Creek in behind so the form looks really strong. She goes handicapping now and I think she can prove a cut above these. Glimpse Of Gala won in good style at Ludlow last time and has to be feared but a 6lb rise certainly makes life tougher here. Wynn House finished third behind the latter last month and she is very lightly raced for her age so I think she’ll be involved too but perhaps only for a place. Flower Of Scotland is likeable but doesn’t look to have much if any in hand.

The first-time blinkers helped ROLFE REMBRANDT (best price 11/4) improve enough to get himself back in the winners enclosure at Newcastle last month. He made all on that occasion and always looked to be in command inside the closing stages. He is up 6lb but with the potential to get on the front again here he could prove hard to pass once more. Safe Osborne claims a handy 3lb and he looks to have more going for him than most. Media Guest went down less than a length behind Fine Wine last time and is 3lb better off with that rival now so might emerge as the danger to the favourite. Fine Wine also comes into the reckoning on that form. Of the rest Airshow has won over C&D and wasn’t disgraced when second to Night On Earth at Kempton so will also be a player if turning up in the same form here.
