Steve Ryder is back with two selections for today's action.
15:00 Lingfield
Royal Cygnet (best priced at 9/1) was well backed on her debut for Peter Chapple-Hyam last time but was held up near the back of the field and never got involved. The handicapper has generously dropped her 3lbs for that run down to a mark of 55 and she now drops into a 0-55 for the first time.
The three-year-old had previously run well here on her handicap debut when only beaten 1 1/4 length in 4th over 5f off a mark of 64. She clearly has ability, will appreciate the drop down in class to a 0-55 handicap and gets a jockey upgrade in Kieran Shoemark so I expect her to run well with up to four places on offer.
15:25 Wetherby
The Dr Richard Newland are in good form at the moment operating at a 32% strike rate so preference in this race goes to Rose Sea Has (best priced at 13/8). The seven-year-old has been running consistently well this year with form figures of 2231 and he has only been raised 3lbs by the handicapper for his victory at Fontwell last time.
Rose Sea Has made all that day under Charlie Hammond in similar conditions and repeat of that effort should see him prove hard to beat.
