Twilight Son filly TWILIGHT SPINNER (best price 3/1)  won 2 of her 3 starts for David O’Meara as a 3yo and while she didn’t improve on debut for this yard when runner-up at the Curragh that was still a fair effort in defeat. She found all bar Art Power too strong in that Group 3 and this looks a good starting point for her on return. She obviously remains open to improvement and is a filly I want to keep on side for now. Both Logo Hunter and Mooneista are closely matched on form and they both loom as dangers to the selection. The former was injured when only fifth in the Sapphire Stakes and if he is back to form he could put up the most resistance. Power Under Me clocked a career best winning at the Curragh on final start and if he is fit enough to do himself justice on return he could also run well. This looks a good race and it will be form to follow throughout the season.

The hat-trick seeking FLAME BEARER (best price 4/1) looks worth keeping on side at Fairyhouse on Sunday. He improved to bolt up by 12 lengths in a maiden hurdle over C&D in January and had no problem backing that up when well backed at Naas back in February. He made quite a bad mistake at the last but thankfully had the race in safe keeping. He has to give weight away all round here but is open to further improvement himself and I think he’ll take a bit of beating here. He is versatile regarding ground and I thought he’d be shorter than 3/1. The Tide Turns failed to fire at the Cheltenham Festival last month but it’s still early days so he shouldn’t be written off. Ha D’Or has enough to find with the selection but might not be too far away either. Hawai Game is interesting too if you can forgive him that last run where he pulled up behind Dysart Dynamo.
