Grand National

Can’t wait for this years Grand National and it feels more open than ever! I’ve backed a few in the race but from a value perspective my strongest play would have to be SCHOOL BOY HOURS at 25/1 now he has got into the race. I’ve had my eye on him since he won at Leopardstown after Christmas and if he can bounce back from his Kim Muir blip at Cheltenham (where he was heavily supported) he could be a fair bit ahead of his current mark of 142. He had just started to make headway last time before making a bad mistake and sprawling on landing. Derek O’Connor was right to pull him up and connections will be delighted he has managed to get in here. Sean Flanagan was booked to ride Coko Beach but has since switched to ride the selection. I can see him being one of the market springers on the day so I think it is worth taking the price and of course getting the best odds using oddschecker.
