A game-winner of a Punchestown bumper on his debut for Colin Bowe, the son of Walk In The Park was picked up for new connections for 105k at the Tattersalls Cheltenham sale and on the evidence of his first outing since switching yards, the money looks well spent. Sent of third favourite in what appeared a competitive bumper on paper at Warwick, the five-year-old had no trouble going with the strong pace and then when asked to go about his business inside the final half a mile, he readily drew clear of his six rivals. Posting a good number for a race of its kind, he created a favourable impression with the way he hit the line and with the distinct possibility of even more to come from this chasing type (ran a bit green late on), a big run should be forthcoming from this potentially smart prospect.

Tom Love Selection for Everton vs Manchester United

Everton dragged themselves further into the relegation mire midweek as they lost a potential six pointer against Burnley at Turf Moor. Frank Lampard rued the sloppy mistakes his side made once more but ultimately Lampard doesn’t look up to the job and has struggled to set up in a way that’s hard to break down.

It’s very surprising to see top four challengers Manchester United chalked up at a backable 5/6 to beat a team looking absolutely dire. The Toffees may have scored twice on Wednesday night but they were both penalties, one which was a dubious decision. From open play they’re really struggling to play to their strengths of getting quality balls into the box. 

Manchester United haven’t been in fantastic form of late but they have had a full week to prepare for this one and have just as much to play for as Everton given Champions League qualification is on the line. Luke Shaw and Cristiano Ronaldo should be back available which is a boost for gaffer Ralf Rangnick.

United look a nice price to win here but with questions still rife about their ability defensively taking the bigger price of 11/4 about the Red Devils to win and both teams to score looks a nice way in. Everton do tend to at least score at Goodison Park.
