13:30 Wincanton
I’m sticking with the in-form JUDICIAL LAW (best price 9/4) at Wincanton on Sunday. This 5yo has won 2 of his last 3 now and is starting to look progressive. He pulled readily clear with another useful type in Groom D’oudairies at Ludlow and he stayed on strongly at the finish there. He is up 7lb but had something in hand the last day and with further progress on the cards looks well placed to follow up. He should get a nice toe in and I think he’ll be finishing best. Neon Moon looks the danger as I was with him when he won at Fontwell last time. He has a similar profile to the selection in some ways and could also be open to further improvement so up just 3lb I think the pair will dominate here. River Bray took advantage off a reduced mark to win here last month but this step up in trip looks sure to ask a few questions which makes him opposable.
15:30 Stratford
Midnight Callisto got bogged down in the mud at Doncaster and she could bounce back here on better ground but even still I fancy CRYSTAL GAZING (best price 9/4) to prove too strong. She looked good winning off this mark at Warwick last year and she is expected to strip a lot fitter from that reappearance run at Ludlow last month. She won second time up last season and I think everything points towards a big run here with track and trip both positives as well. Taylors Three Rock makes her handicap debut in a first-time hood and has to be considered but she can pull hard and evidently isn’t the most straightforward. Blue Collar Glory remains unexposed and Oliver Greenall has been among the winners so she deserves a second look but I do think the market principals are set to battle this one out. Both Eva’s Diva and Annie Nail are badly out of sorts.
