Following a 6/1 winner yesterday, Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.

The Kevin Ryan stable have started this season in good form (19% strike rate) and RAMBUSO CREEK (best priced at 11/4) should hold strong claims of getting off the mark at the fifth attempt in this maiden. The consistent gelded son of Tagula has placed on all four of his career starts to date including when only beaten a head here on his debut last year.
Rambuso Creek ran well on soft ground on his final start last season when 3rd at York on soft ground so these conditions shouldn’t be a problem and he should prove hard to beat on his reappearance.

AUTUMN FESTIVAL (best priced at EVENS) was an impressive winner a week ago on his handicap/turf debut and he should prove hard to beat under a 6lb penalty. The David O’Meara trained gelding had previously looked outpaced over shorter trips on the all-weather but made all in impressive style at Redcar on soft ground when upped in trip to a mile for the first time.
Autumn Festival eased clear to win by 3 ¾ lengths in the closing stages and he will no doubt get more than a 6lb rise for that victory. Therefore, he looks “well in” under a 6lb penalty and should take all of the beating.

The Philip Kirby trained WEMYSS POINT (best priced at 5/1) is 2-4 in flat turf races in his career with those two victories coming in this race in 2018 and 2021. The ten-year-old won this race off a mark of 68 in 2018 before winning by three lengths off a mark of 60 last year. He runs in the race this year off a mark of 57 which makes him well handicapped and he comes into the race with fitness on his side having run twice at Newcastle in February.
A 2m5f 0-70 flat race is a very rare set of conditions but we know they suit Wemyss Point well and I expect him to put in a bold bid for a third victory in this race.
