I don’t think we saw the best of ENFRANCHISE at Kempton last time so while she couldn’t complete the hat-trick it’s not hard to envisage her resuming her progress with a victory here. I know it’s competitive but 7/1 looks a price worth taking to me. She has run here five times in her career with form figures of 21321 and produced a career-best beating Fountain Cross convincingly over C&D back in January. She isn’t done improving yet and with Andrew Breslin claiming a handy 3lb she looks set for a big run. Baldomero also has a progressive look to his form so could be the danger but the market has him as favourite and there isn’t much juice in his price. Fountain Cross has won both starts since going down to the selection so is unlikely to be too far away again. Bowerman heads the Irish challenge and looks best of the rest.
