I thought PINK LEGEND ran huge at Cheltenham last month to get within half a length of Elimay and if she repeats that sort of effort here she will get back to winning ways. She showed what she was capable of over fences beating Vienna Court at Huntingdon back in January. She had main market rival Zambella held back in fourth behind her last time and is taken to confirm that form. The latter is a decent mare and she should run well again but she has enough to find. The market has this as a two-horse race and that’s how I see it as well which is what makes the even money appealing to me (usually don’t tip a Notebook that short). Daphne Moon ran better when fourth to Jeremys Flame at Thurles and was unsuited by the drop back in trip last time so should be best of the rest.

Another short price Notebook on Wednesday but it’s that sort of day and I’m struggling to see past THE DEFIANT. This horse made it 3 in a row over C&D last time and I thought you could call him the winner a fair way from home. A 4lb rise won’t be enough to stop him and he is easily the one to beat in this field. Hey Ho Let’s Go also won over C&D last time making virtually all and a 3lb rise isn’t overly harsh so he is the obvious danger. Equally Fast loves it here being a four-time C&D winner but he has ground to make up with the selection after finishing fourth behind him last time. A 4lb swing in the weights doesn’t look enough for him to reverse the form. Lothian is also held by the selection but is probably better than what he showed the last day so not entirely overlooked but enough to find.
