I’ll be very disappointed if WIZARD D’AMOUR can’t get his head back in front at Catterick on Wednesday. This horse has been a model of consistency in recent starts and deserves to get himself back in the winners enclosure now. This drop back to 7f should suit and I can see this track helping him too. He can be keen but he will get a lovely toe in off Ventura Rascal and will be looking to weave a path late on under Ben Curtis which this course can often favour. Jill Rose is exposed in comparison but she likes it here and ran well on return beaten less than a length into third over C&D. She will be the danger if building on that. Ghathanfar is capable if applying himself but is hard to warm to on what we’ve seen from him recently. Obee Jo will strip fitter from that fifth over track and trip and might be another one that is fighting it out for a place in behind the selection.
