I’ve been waiting for FREETHINKER (best price 11/2) to run again and as competitive as this looks I think he is still capable of bringing up the hat-trick here. He has really improved lately winning readily at Newcastle and then backing that up at the same venue last month beating a solid yardstick in second. He made all on that occasion and it was a dominant performance. He is up 6lb from that but I don’t think that will be enough to anchor him and with this ground looking ideal he looks sure to go well. Lake Shore Drive won nicely at Exeter last time and if the headgear works again a 7lb penalty shouldn’t stop him getting competitive. King Ferdinand is another one that has taken his form up a notch recently but he has to prove himself on this faster ground. Kilganer Queen was back to form last time but isn’t getting any younger and is by no means a certainty to build on that.
