I thought GRACES QUEST (best price 5/1) shaped with plenty of encouragement on reappearance when third at Catterick last time. That was her first start for Jim Goldie and she was given enough to do held up off the pace. She closed up well enough and it struck me as a run that she would definitely come on for. That form looks solid and given her sole win last season came over this C&D she looks to have plenty going for her. With Lightning Attack and Wadacre Gogo likely to go forward this should be run at a good gallop too which will help. Buford is my idea of the main danger as while he was down the field on return at Catterick he will strip a lot fitter for it and the drop back in trip is also in his favour. Royal Countess has some good form in the book but was badly out of sorts on final start last season and would need to bounce back to have a say although she has won fresh before.
