I know TROPEZ POWER was beaten out of sight on his return at this track 8 days ago but he looked a horse that badly needed the run and back down in trip here I think he could surprise a few. He won in good style on final start as a 2yo at Wolverhampton and this straight mile should suit him well. He is still only 3lb higher than that so if bouncing back doesn’t look an 11/1 chance to me. Plenty of these have a bit to prove over this trip whereas I think the selection will be hitting the line strong under Thore Hammer Hansen. Caphalus is the favourite at the time of writing but he has done all his winning on the AW and this will be a different test. The one I’m fearful of is Barley who was due to run at Goodwood yesterday but has opted for this instead. His form beating Post Impressionist looks strong but his handicap mark is no given and he might need more if he is to follow that up.
