16:15 Fakenham

I think there are enough doubts over the opposition to make TOMMIE BEAU a strong play in the Norfolk National at Fakenham on Tuesday. He is 2-2 at this track and his best performances have been when his stamina has been drawn out. He lost his way somewhat on testing ground over the winter but was very much back to his best staying on strongly on a sounder surface to win at Plumpton last month. He is only up 3lb and still has a fair bit of potential given he is just a 7yo. The main danger Red Happy has been thriving but over much shorter trips and when he tried this sort of marathon test in the Devon National he was pulled up so that would have to be concerning. Debden Bank was back in the winners enclosure at Southwell last time but that track suits him well and he’ll need more here up 5lb. Last years winner Game Line might emerge as the main danger but he needs to revive.
