Only a couple of these with a recent run so I don’t think it would be a great surprise to see SHE DO make a winning return for Roger Varian. This filly looked progressive when last seen running on strongly to peg back a very good yardstick in Gale Force Maya at Newmarket. She steps up to Group 3 company here but I think she has potential to be competing at an even higher level as the season goes on and this step back up to 7f also looks to be a big positive. Chocoya was fourth behind the selection when last seen and might turn out to be the biggest danger in this field. She has ground to make up though so it won’t be easy to reverse that form. Symphony Perfect is one of those with a recent run so she has a fitness edge at least and she did run well when second at Chelmsford so could enter the reckoning.

This should be a good race between AFTER THE RAIN and Tregony and it’s the former I fancy strongly to come out on top. She is improving with experience and I was really impressed with the way she followed up on handicap debut at Windsor last month. She almost had to pick up twice on that occasion and still looked value for more crossing the line. With Harry Davies claiming 7lb she looks a standout in this field to bring up the hat-trick. I expect her to go forward and it’s going to take a good one to peg her back. Tregony is the danger as she will improve for that comeback run when she was denied a gap at a crucial stage. She has more to come but the selection might always be getting the better of the argument. Moon Island should enjoy this longer trip on return but should do better for the run against two in-form fillies.
