This step up in trip could be the making of FYLDE COAST (best price 8/1) at Beverley on Tuesday. This son of Birchwood has shown ability in 3 starts to date and has just looked a bit tapped for toe. He goes handicapping now off a mark of just 70 and I’m surprised he has been put in at 8/1 as he could be about to take a big step forward. After a slowish start to the season Richard Fahey is starting to fire in the winners now and this 3yo could be a nice prospect in the making. There looks to be plenty of pace on from the likes of Cabinet Maker and Noonie and that should help as I have no doubt he’ll be hitting the line strong. Gibside ran a cracker when second to a good horse over C&D last time and they came clear of the rest so he looks the obvious danger to the selection. Pavlodar is another one that should be suited by this step up in trip so he is also feared.
