This looks a decent renewal of the Duke Of York but I’m confident MINZAAL (best price 10/3) brings the most potential to the table for Owen Burrows. This Mehmas colt has only actually raced 6 times and I remember the way he won the Gimcrack here as a 2yo he looked something out of the top draw. He was beaten a length by Tis Marvellous on return before running another big race in defeat when third in the Champions Sprint Stakes at Ascot. His form is hard to knock and back at a track he loves with potential to do better as a 4yo he gets a confident vote to come out on top. Dragon Symbol was a bit unlucky last year and deserves to win more races so has to be feared and at a bigger price Garrus catches the eye having flashed home for second in the Albernant and he has Ryan Moore up again too.

Eight Of Diamonds did well to win at Lingfield last time and he has potential to do better but he isn’t a certainty to back that up on turf now and I think MUCUNA (best price 3/1) looks the value against. Milton Harris continues to go well and this Guiliani filly impressed winning at Salisbury last month. She was beaten here last time but met trouble in the run and might have given the winner something to think about if getting the gaps. It was still a good effort in defeat and going up in trip here should suit so she should run a big race with William Cox claiming a handy 3lb again. Campese is by Australia and should still have more to come after just 4 starts but he’ll need to leave that Brighton run behind as that certainly didn’t inspire confidence. Via Serica is also likely to have more to offer but might need more time and experience.
