After a string of good efforts in defeat CRIMSON SAND (best price 11/4) looks well placed to strike over a C&D he has been successful over in the past. He ran on well at Lingfield last time but was forced to come wide and that ultimately cost him. His close second to Tone The Barone prior to that reads really well and if things drop more favourably here he looks the most likely winner. He is 11/4 at the time of writing and that looks a decent price to me as I’d have him more 2/1 or if not shorter. Twilight Madness ran well at Southwell but failed to back that up at Goodwood. He has a bit to prove following that so the fact he is second in the betting suggests this doesn’t have a great deal of strength in depth. City Walk was only beaten 2 lengths at Leicester and if he improves again might be the one to chase the selection home. Temple Bruer shaped better when last seen but is likely still a bit too high in the handicap.
