GYTO's Sunday notebook double pays 10/1.
15:40 Ripon
I don’t think FISHABLE had much luck here last month back up to a mile and a half. He just looked to be getting involved when he was badly bumped. I think he is happier over this trip though and if he bounces back he could be a danger to all here. He has won 3 times over C&D and is back down to his last winning mark so has to be of serious interest. He won third time up last season over C&D and if this rain in the forecast materialises that would only enhance his claims further. Benadalid ran a big race when a close second at Doncaster last month and if he builds on that again he definitely has a shout. Copper And Five has won at this track before and acquitted himself well in a fiercely competitive handicap at Thirsk last time. He has to prove himself up to this trip now but is another one you can see battling it out to hit the frame.
16:15 Naas
With experience on side KERKIYRA can make the breakthrough at Naas on Sunday. She ran a cracker when beaten less than a length at Leopardstown when last seen and any further improvement would make her a really tough filly to beat. Most of her form has worked out well so it will likely take an above average debutant to peg her back. American Pharoah filly Sierra Nevada looks a work in progress and has more to come so might be the danger. Red Azalea is by Galileo and has been consistent this season but I get the impression she might find a couple too good again. Galleria Borghese is back down in trip so that might help her but she has ground to make up with Red Azalea last time and does look held on that. Porto Cervo raced too freely on debut when down the field behind Lullaby. If she settles she should show up better.
