14:10 Curragh

Aidan O’Brien won this back in 2018 with Fairyland and looks to have a great chance of coming away with the prize again given he saddles 2 of the 5 runners. His main hope looks to be No Nay Never colt BLACKBEARD (best price 15/8) who maintained his unbeaten record running on strongly to get up on the line here over 5f last time. He should relish going up to 6f now and I think he can make it a perfect 3-3 under Ryan Moore. He looks to have plenty of class about him and if he wins this he will undoubtedly be targeted at Royal Ascot next month. His stablemate Deneuve also made a bright start winning on debut at Naas and also looks to have potential. Kingman colt Tough Talk made a winning start over C&D last month and could be a greater danger. Mehmar was an expensive purchase but could only manage second on debut and this is tougher if anything. Ocean Vision looks out his depth.

16:07 York

Karl Burke has his string in great order at present and Nottingham winner LOOKING FOR LYNDA (best price 7/4) looks well placed to follow up and make it 2 wins from 3 at York on Saturday. He is a good looking sort who showed plenty of ability when runner-up on debut at Ayr. The filly that beat him then Beautiful Eyes won her next start before finishing an excellent fourth to the exciting Pillow Talk here earlier in the month so that form looks very solid. He is going to improve for the extra furlong and looks the most likely winner in this field to me so 7/4 could look generous come post time. Archie Watson certainly knows how to ready one so debutant Bradsell could emerge as the danger. It will be worth keeping an eye on the market but I think the selection might have him covered with experience on side. Just Janet can improve on her debut third at Yarmouth and is another one to note here.
