I thought there was lots to like about the way CANDY KITCHEN (best price 4/1) won at Windsor last time. She was given a patient ride by Callum Shepherd but picked her way through going strongly before really finding her stride late. She is up 6lb from that but looks to have plenty more to come especially stepping up in trip here. I can see her being covered up again before looking to pounce late. This is competitive so a couple of dangers. Crema Inglesa is a very solid yardstick and ran right up to form when beaten just a head by After The Rain at Ascot last time. A similar performance to that here would see her bang there but she is up 5lb and doesn’t look to have much if anything in hand. Speak remains with potential but the handicapper has certainly taken no chances with an opening mark of 84 so perhaps she is best watched for now. Percy’s Pride should come on for her reappearance run so is also worth a mention but again not exactly well handicapped.
