GYTO's Sunday notebook double pays 10/1.
I’m surprised IMMORTAL BEAUTY isn’t favourite for this as I was really encouraged with his debut run at Ascot. Inexperience definitely cost him as he just looked a bit clueless and didn’t really lay up with the pace all that well. Once he knuckled down he kept on well and only just failed to get second. He had no chance with the winner but Omniqueen had it all go her way and she looks a nice filly. She is sure to progress from that and I think with that natural improvement she can open her account here. Havana Grey filly Lady Hollywood was denied just a short head on debut and the front pair came clear so she is the danger. I thought she looked pretty straight for that though and while she will improve perhaps not as much as the selection. Radio Goo Goo has ability but keeps finding one or two too good and that very much looks the case again here.
Galileo filly ARK looks to have found a nice opening at the Curragh on Sunday. She has been a work in progress and following just the 1 run as a 2yo she has shown plenty in 2 starts this term. She was third to stablemate Emily Dickinson at Naas last month looking like she’d come on for the run. She again probably did a bit too much too soon when trying to make all at Leopardstown but was gathered in by two nice fillies. She will be strengthening up all the time and in first-time blinkers she might always be dominating this field. Selador ran well when second to the promising Lily Pond on debut at Dundalk. The winner has been beaten since but ran well and still looks a nice prospect. She will need to improve on turf for the first time but could be the danger. Eyaziya is bred to be smart and is another one that might take a step forward now.
