This looks a competitive 0-100 handicap but preference goes to GOOBINATOR (best priced at 6/1) who is the only course and distance winner in the field. The Donald McCain trained six-year-old won over this course and distance off a mark of 82 in September before finishing 4th in the Cesarewitch at Newmarket behind Buzz and Burning Victory.

Despite being beaten favourite on his previous three starts over hurdles, Goobinator has still run with credit and he should run well off a mark of 86 with Graham Lee on board.

Goobinator - 0.5pts e/w @ 6/1

The Ed Walker trained STORMY ANTARCTIC (best priced at 6/1) has been a fantastic horse for connections and I think he can gain his tenth career win in this race. The nine-year-old won this race by 3 ¼ lengths last season on soft ground and it looks as though he will get the same conditions again this year.

The gelding ran well to finish 2nd behind Zakouski in a listed race at Newmarket in October before finishing a close 6th in the AW Championships in November. This is his first run for 178 days but he has got a good record fresh and will no doubt be suited by this return to soft ground.

Stormy Antarctic - 0.5pts e/w @ 6/1

The favourite Winter Power seems to save her best for York so she looks vulnerable on her reappearance and I think she is worth taking on with EXISTENT (best priced at 11/1) who looks to be progressing so far this season. The four-year-old was previously trained by John Gosden who ran the son of Kingman over a mile but he looks to have benefitted from the switch to Stuart Williams and the drop back to sprinting distances.

Existent outran odds of 25/1 to finish a neck 2nd in the Group 3 Palace House Stakes at Newmarket last time when staying on well in the closing stages once he got balanced out of the dip. He should run well back at a more conventional track with Marco Ghiani once again on board and four places on offer.

Existent - 0.5pts e/w
