14:50 Hamilton

George Boughey continues to go from strength to strength and he has another good chance of a winner on Wednesday in the shape of the progressive INVER PARK (best price 9/4) at Hamilton. This 4yo clocked a career best at Windsor last time and turned out quickly under a penalty I think he’ll prove tough to beat here with Buick getting the leg up now. He stayed on strongly through the line and looked to do it with a bit up his sleeve with the front pair 4 lengths clear from a well strung out field. His third at Southwell before that also reads well so he looks to have plenty in favour. Nearly A Gonna also recorded his best run to date winning at Carlisle last time. I think that form is a bit questionable though and he needs more to stop the selection following up. Rose Bandit and Tipperary Tiger likely to fight it out for the remaining place.

19:25 Ripon

Benoit De La Sayette is riding the crest of a wave at the moment and he looks outstanding value for his 5lb claim (which won’t last long). He gets the leg up on the progressive CAPTAIN KANE (best price 15/8) at Ripon on Wednesday and the way this son of Ulysses won at Bath last time suggests he is capable of even more yet. He carries a double penalty but he is such a strong traveller back up in trip I can just see him travelling powerfully throughout before hopefully staying on best. Punda Maria, Never No Trouble and Togai could take each other on early and that would be an ideal scenario. At Liberty looks to be the biggest danger as he was a good fourth at Yarmouth and should benefit from going up in trip again here. Gibside caught the eye when second on penultimate start and wasn’t disgraced last time so could also run well.
