Richard Hannon will be eyeing up a hat-trick with the progressive PURE DREAMER (best price 15/8) at Windsor on Monday night. This son of Oasis Dream ran on well to beat a subsequent winner in Dream Composer at Leicester last time and a 4lb rise may well prove lenient. The way the latter won next time out coming from off the pace and swooping past the whole field suggests he has a bit in hand off his mark so for the selection to beat him so convincingly bodes well going forward. Concierge has won at this track and was a good second at Ascot so could be the danger. Spring Bloom was also a good second last time and that came over track and trip so with James Doyle in the saddle he might not be far away either. Of the rest the good looking Shobiz was down the field last time but shouldn’t be entirely dismissed.

Twilight Son filly CATHAYENSIS (best price 15/8) came powering through to win impressively at Haydock last week and given that was an apprentice event she escapes a penalty. She is actually 1lb lower here and with her form looking progressive she may well be up to making it 4 wins from her last 6 starts. There isn’t much pace on so she wouldn’t want it to turn tactical but other than that she has plenty in favour again. Graces Quest stayed on well to land a nice gamble at Musselburgh last time and off a 6lb higher mark looks likely to emerge as the main danger to the selection. I think everything dropped right for her last time though and she might find this a bit tougher especially against a thriving horse in the shape of the selection. Chinese Spirit has won here and got his head back in front at Carlisle last time so is also considered.
