The hat-trick seeking GATECRASHER GIRL (best price 2/1) is likely to be popular at Doncaster on Saturday. She has improved plenty since going handicapping and won in a canter on penultimate start at Nottingham before following up convincingly at Wolverhampton defying a 6lb rise. The assessor has reacted again raising her a further 8lb but she isn’t done improving yet and this test should play to her strengths. The danger is likely Aguaplano who made all in good style at Redcar last month. That was a maiden though and he’ll likely need more again back in handicap company here. I wouldn’t want to see him get a soft lead here but with Tarbaan and Lucia Joy in the field that is unlikely. Galileo Glass isn’t one to give up on but he was down the field last time and a bounce back is definitely called for now.

I think as long as DUAL IDENTITY (best price 6/4) deals with the fairly quick turnaround he’ll win this. He is still improving and that form beating Jean Baptiste at Newcastle on penultimate start has worked out well since. The latter was only beaten narrowly in a bunched finish at Redcar having shown up prominently for a long way and the fourth Mango Boy won cosily at Yarmouth earlier in the week too. He bumped into another nice horse in Tucson Cloud at Leicester but stuck to the task well and off the same mark here can resume his progress. Eikonix has only had the 6 starts and ran well when second to a subsequent winner in The Whipmaster at Sandown last time. If building on that he is definitely the main danger to the selection. Miss Mulligan was a good second at Beverley and also has to be respected here.
