Salvator Mundi deserved to open his account at Leicester last time but he was hardly impressive and a 4lb rise in deeper company might just find him out. He is well bred and will appreciate going up in trip but I just have my reservations on him on what I’ve seen. I much prefer the hat-trick seeking HILTS (best price 4/1) who is improving with every run. He relished the step up to a mile and a quarter in soft ground to get up by a short head at Redcar on return and improved again to prevail narrowly at Musselburgh latest. That was his first crack at a mile and a half so going up a couple of furlongs again he remains thoroughly unexposed and he looks the one to beat under a 4lb rise. Achnamara is another one that will be suited by this stiffer test of stamina so I think he is the main danger. Captain Kane is thriving having won 5 of his last 6 but an 8lb rise looks harsh for that Ripon win and the form has been let down since.
