The step up to this trip looked the making of AIMING HIGH (best price 2/1) at Doncaster as she ran out a convincing winner under Joey Haynes. The handicapper has reacted raising her 5lb but I don’t think that will be enough to stop her following up. She travelled so well into that race the last day and I think you could call her the winner a fair way from home. She is certainly bred to be pretty smart being by Lope De Vega and with further progression a near certainty now she is a confident selection to go in again. Sunrise Valley was back to form on return to finish fourth at Nottingham and will be the likely danger if building on that. He just looked to lack a gear change last time though so will need this step up in trip to help. Lyrical Lady wasn’t beaten far into second at Nottingham latest and is another one to consider in here.

I know it took her a while to get her head in front but I thought there was lots to like about the way QUEEN SARABI (best price 11/4) swooped late to score over track and trip last month. The second De Vegas Kid won next time out so the form has been franked since. She is only up 3lb and if in the same form she will be tough to beat here. Storm Dancer has shown next to nothing but now handicapping she can be expected to take a big step forward. I think she might need more time and experience though. Chetan is on a dangerous mark again but is on a lengthy losing run so that might leave Sly Madam as the main danger. She isn’t the most straightforward herself but she applied herself to win on penultimate start and that form would see her give the selection most to do. River Chorus best of the rest but still a maiden.
