The money came for ROSE’S GIRL (best price 10/3) at Redcar last time and despite never looking dangerous she did run on strongly in the closing stages to finish third. She was given a lot to do but for whatever reason didn’t really look to be on a going day. It might have been the track or how the race was run but what I know is she is better than that. I rate the winner Belhaven and the form looks pretty solid to me. She is up just 1lb from that and with first-time cheekpieces applied I think we’ll see a much better performance here. She arguably ran her best race to date at this track as well getting within a neck of victory over C&D back in April. The danger is likely Copperline who has still looked rough around the edges and should be suited by this step up to a mile now. Darbucks improved to win at Carlisle last time and also has to be respected but he is up 4lb and this looks tougher.
