I thought BOOKMARK (best price 5/1) was a real eye-catcher at Pontefract on return. If she had settled better she definitely might have won so it was good to see her overcome trouble in the run to win at Doncaster last time. She was a big drifter on the day and plenty went wrong in the race but she still managed to come out on top. She looks ahead of her mark and as long as she drops her head early I think there is a fair bit more to come over a mile and a half. She has won at this track before too which is a plus and I’m surprised she is as big as 5/1. Saint Riquier won over hurdles at Warwick last month and is likely to be primed for this so looks the biggest danger. Atacama Desert continues to knock on the door and likely won’t be too far away again. Of the rest Little Ted was back to form to win at Ripon but isn’t a certainly to back that up here. I think he’d need some others to disappoint if he is to follow up.
