I thought KIT GABRIEL was an eye-catcher on return finishing fifth at Ascot last month. This Kodiac colt was slowly into stride that day and had enough to do but ran on well in the closing stages and stuck me as a horse that would improve plenty for the run. This stiff finish here will suit him and with the cobwebs blown away he should be going close off a mark of 82. Bated Breath colt Cairn Gorm has some very decent form to his name and has switched stables so needs a market check but he is entitled to come on for this given it will be his first start for 255 days. Asad impressed winning on return at Chelmsford and backed that up probably improving in defeat when beaten half a length at Haydock. He is up another couple of pounds though and is off a career-high mark again so this will demand a big performance and I thought he was short enough in the betting.
