Dear My Friend ran on strongly to win going away on his Carlisle debut and looks likely to be better suited by this longer trip, though he does have to give 6lb to SOL CAYO, who was only half a length behind him in third that day. The Havana Gold colt was also running on late and may just have the edge at these weights, though both have room to improve further. Jinxster looks interesting on paper ahead of his debut and could be worth a market watch.
Prediction : 1st Sol Cayo 2nd Dear My Friend 3rd Jinxster

The booking of Graham Lee to ride KRYSTAL MAZE catches the eye as she drops slightly in grade after coming home 11th at Thirsk. Cheekpieces are tried for the first time and off a mark of 52 she could surprise them all. Stripzee has placed off higher marks in the past and with her stable among the winners she could bounce back to form, while Pacopash wasn't beaten that far at Wolverhampton last time and might sneak in to a place in this field.
Prediction : 1st Krystal Maze 2nd Stripzee 3rd Pacopash

All three of these have made the running in the past, though Just Frank invariably races over further than this. Clarendon House is a decent sort in the right grade but has yet to prove his mettle outside of handicap company, which seems to point the way to MOSS GILL. He has won in Listed class and placed at Group level and if he step up on his Temple Stakes seventh, he might prove too good for these.
Prediction : 1st Moss Gill 2nd Clarendon House 3rd Just Frank

HEAD CHEF was said to have benefited from a first-time visor when successful at Ripon earlier this month and with the headgear retained and off just a 2lb higher mark, David O'Meara's gelding can follow up. Course regular Tangled is respected off 5lb below his last winning mark while Master Richard, who was narrowly denied at Doncaster on his latest outing, is another to consider. The shortlist is completed by recent Pontefract scorer Eligible.
Prediction : 1st Head Chef 2nd Master Richard 3rd Tangled

Maggie And Me's two career starts have been promising and if taking to the first-time hood, she can make her presence felt. However, preference is for GRACELANDS GIRL, whose consistency could be rewarded in a moderate contest. Tim Easterby's charge faded in the closing stages at Ripon over 1m so this drop in trip should suit, though she's likely to face a strong challenge from Pennypeace, who returns from an absence.
Prediction : 1st Gracelands Girl 2nd Maggie And Me 3rd Pennypeace

IRON SHERIFF has been running well on the all-weather of late and a return to this track is likely to suit, with his only career win coming here last September. Behind him on that occasion was another course regular Violette Szabo, who could have a say on her seasonal return. Wild Thunder is entitled to have another try at this distance, having stayed on strongly over shorter on both starts this season, while Dr Rio shaped well at Redcar last time out.
Prediction : 1st Iron Sheriff 2nd Violette Szabo 3rd Dr Rio

This could be the day that IRV's long losing streak comes to an end. Winless since July 2019 off a 23lb higher mark, Micky Hammond's charge was eye-catching when only beaten a length at Thirsk on his latest outing. Catterick winner Clotherholme must be of interest as well on the step back up in trip, while Mac Ailey returned to form with a solid placed effort at Redcar. Last year's winner Bankawi cannot be dismissed, along with Stand Free and Stoney Lane.
Prediction : 1st Irv 2nd Clotherholme 3rd Mac Ailey
