Fresh from success over hurdles, LIGHTNING ATTACK switches his attentions to the Flat, where he's taken to score in a moderate contest. Ben Haslam's charge was narrowly defeated off this mark at Musselburgh in April and with the third victorious since then, the handicapper has given the six-year-old a huge chance. Ghostly been knocking on the door lately and he's feared most, while Billy Bathgate can't be ruled out on his second start following wind surgery.
Prediction : 1st Lightning Attack 2nd Ghostly 3rd Billy Bathgate

Following a promise debut effort, John Quinn's Santabella is likely to be popular amongst punters. However preference is for AL HITMI, who was unable to justify strong market support at Carlisle last month. The son of Harry Angel should have learned plenty, though, and with that experience under his belt he can take the required step forward. Others to consider are Teresa Grace and Debydinks.
Prediction : 1st Al Hitmi 2nd Santabella 3rd Teresa Grace

REWARD SMILE was no match for the Coventry-bound Bradsell at York last month but given it's unlikely he'll face anything like that standard this afternoon, the son of Havana Grey can open his account. Ludo's Landing and Monte Forte both filled the runner-up berth on their racecourse debuts so feature prominently in calculations along with Dukono, who may not have handled the undulating track at Ripon on his latest outing.
Prediction : 1st Reward Smile 2nd Ludos Landing 3rd Monte Forte

Astapor defied a huge price when scoring over this course and distance on his latest outing, but he returns to handicapping off an 11lb higher mark than his last handicap run, so preference is for QUANAH. The six-year-old ran on well in second over 5f recently and runs off the same mark in this, which could see him go close despite this slight rise in class. Stallone was only half a length away at Pontefract last time and could make an impact in this.
Prediction : 1st Quanah 2nd Stallone 3rd Astapor

AUTUMN FESTIVAL retains the mark he ran a good second off at Pontefract recently and he commands respect having been headed close home over a fractionally shorter trip. He sports a first-time hood now which could spark some additional progress and he could go well. Sophiesticate ran on for second on her last outing over this course and distance, while Heights Of Aran who won off a 2lb lower mark on his seasonal debut over this track and trip.
Prediction : 1st Autumn Festival 2nd Sophiesticate 3rd Heights Of Aran

GLITTERING CHOICE was just touched off at Leicester on her seasonal reappearance and is fancied to go one better with that run under her belt. The Hugo Palmer-trained filly showed considerable improvement for the step up in trip on that occasion and the likely ease in underfoot conditions should also suit. May Punch was narrowly denied a double at Ripon recently and must enter calculations in her current form. Cosa Sara has been raised 4lb for her win at Ayr last month and is also worth considering.
Prediction : 1st Glittering Choice 2nd May Punch 3rd Cosa Sara

The Richard Fahey-trained ACOUSTIC gets the vote here having shaped well on his first start in handicap company when fifth at Wetherby last week. The three-year-old colt was awkward at the start on that occasion and if learning from that experience he could take all the beating. Prince Of Persia hasn't shown much in all his three runs to date but has been gelded since and must be respected in what looks a winnable affair. Copperline has over three lengths to overturn with the selection from that Wetherby run but this extra furlong may unlock further improvement.
Prediction : 1st Acoustic 2nd Prince Of Persia 3rd Copperline
