UK Horse Racing Tips: Leopardstown

WITH LOVE was not unsupported at fancy prices before her debut over 6f at the Curragh on Irish Guineas weekend and kept on very nicely to finish fourth. The sixth in that race won a maiden last weekend and Kevin Coleman's daughter of Territories will appreciate the extra furlong of this contest. Cash Or Crypto was unfancied for his first outing at Listowel earlier this month but was very professional and won with a bit to spare. He's another that won't mind stepping up from 6f. Voce Del Palio showed promise over C&D before getting up close home to touch off a stablemate at Roscommon. He needed every yard of the 7f trip there and may do better when stepping up to a mile but is, nonetheless, a leading contender in this line-up.

Twice a winner over 6f last year, CLEVELEYS has hit a bit of form for his new yard this month and has a decent chance in an ordinary handicap. Richard O'Brien's charge wasn't beaten far over this trip when sixth in a big field at Cork just over a week ago and stayed on well for second when turned out again just three days later at Limerick on Saturday. He can race off a 2lb lower mark here and in-form Billy Lee has the inside stall to work with. The Blue Panther continues to tumble in the ratings but has been showing a bit more promise in recent starts. He was a fair fourth over C&D last week and has come down another 3lb since then. Inishmot Prince won twice over 5f at Dundalk earlier in the year and was nearest at the finish when fifth in a big field at the Curragh last time. That was over an extended 6f and he's worth a shot at this longer trip.

FOCUS REQUIRED had six of these rivals behind when winning over C&D a fortnight ago. Although one or two of those opponents didn't have the clearest of runs in the straight and might be capable of better, the selection was going away at the line and can follow up off a 7lb higher mark. Morning Approach hasn't yet added to a debut maiden win at Dundalk but has been in good form this year. She was a fine second in a big-field handicap at the Curragh last month and that form was franked when the winner followed up at this venue. Despite having risen 10lb in total since the start of the season, she's likely to go close from a good draw. Oneiroi won over 1m1f here last summer and has only once been out of the first four in seven visits to Leopardstown. He has run well fresh in the past so a near eight-month layoff is not a concern.

EASTERN WIND wasn't far behind runner-up Corporal Violette when third in a maiden at Naas last September and won her next start at Limerick. She ran very well when third to Britannia Handicap contender Amortentia when returning to Naas in May and wasn't well treated at the weights in a conditions event last time. Back in a handicap with headgear fitted for the first time, this prominent racer can go close. Corporal Violette filled the runner-up spot for a second time at Naas when running well in a valuable sales race in October and beat a subsequent winner when breaking her maiden here last month. This will be her first time to race over further than 7f. Relevant Range, placed in a couple of 6f maidens at Cork last month, is another who steps up in trip and his half-brother was a Grade 1 winner over 1m in America. A tongue-tie is applied for his handicap debut.

THEGOOSEISCOOKED looks ready, having caught the eye on recent hurdles reappearance, and is a notable handicap debutante. A half-sister to seven capable winners, including smart Pyromaniac, she is a work in progress but competes from a lowish rating and represents an in-form yard. Golden Ticket showed progression when fourth here a fortnight ago and being an unexposed three-year-old, can continue to improve, is suited by good ground and this distance. Innamorare is a six-time winner who ran well from 1lb higher at Navan last month while Philly's Hope, a dual-winner from 37 runs, ran well over course and distance last week. Magic Charm won in April but was well held here last month. Arch Enemy wasn't beaten far at Gowran while Pride Of Pimlico was unsuited by soft ground on his latest run.

COMO PARK is consistent, useful and is proven over distance, track and good ground. Rated 83, he is vulnerable to smart types but can confirm placings with First Emperor, whom he has already beaten twice. First Emperor has been ridden from off the pace in those two defeats to the selection and while just one length behind at Navan, needs to find some way of turning form. Navajo Warrior ran a promising race on debut but flopped at Naas subsequently last October, when reported to be post race normal. He has an Irish Derby entry but makes a somewhat belated reappearance. Active Duty was no match against smart types in two Navan runs but has ability and is suited by conditions. Theodulus is out of a placed dam who is a half-sister to a Group-placed performer but is gelded on debut and has no big-race entries.

MY MATE MOZZIE is a smart hurdler who has run well in three flat runs. He has bumped into capable performers in the past year and while well held by an improving Aga Khan-owned colt at Tipperary, faces a lesser task here, stepping back up in trip on suitable ground. Dual bumper winner Hi Stranger was well held on two recent flat starts but is interesting reverting to a more suitable surface. Advantage Point is a lightly-raced nine-year-old with good form in the past and can improve from his Sligo reappearance run, which followed a 683-day layoff. Douglas Dc is ground-versatile and ridden by a useful 7lb claimer but needs to improve to win. Loughisle Lady is a sibling to eight winners and represents Willie Mullins but needs improvement, being rated just 105 over hurdles, on reappearance. Petram showed promise in a Thurles bumper but faces a tougher task while Supreme Jet is a useful jumper but was well held on the flat at Sligo.
