This looks like an open renewal of the Jersey Stakes and I am willing to take a chance on Hello You (best priced at 25/1) back at 7f. The David Loughnane trained filly showed good form when trained by Ralph Beckett including when 2nd to Sandrine in the Albany Stakes last year before winning the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket for her new trainer over 7f. She had 1000 Guineas winner Cachet behind her that day and although that rival has reversed that form on both of their starts this season, she is now a proven Group 1 performer.

Hello You finished 3rd in the Nell Gwyn Stakes on her reappearance under a penalty before finding a mile too far in the 1000 Guineas when Rossa Ryan looked after her late on. He can reap the rewards in this race and run well with five places on offer from Stall 9.

Hello You - 0.5pts e/w @ 25/1

Wesley Ward has had the likes of Golden Pal, Seismic Spirit and Ruthin disappoint so far this week but as a result I think Campanelle (best priced at 12/1) is overpriced for the Platinum Jubilee Stakes this year. She won the Queen Mary Stakes in 2020 before being awarded the Commonwealth Cup last year in the Stewards’ Room having been hampered by Dragon Symbol late on.

Campanelle won a listed race on her return at Keeneland and this will have been her target since last season. Stablemate Love Reigns ran well to finish 4th in the Queen Mary Stakes on Wednesday so his string haven’t all flopped and her proven Ascot form should mean she runs well with up to six places available.

Campanelle - 0.5pts e/w @ 12/1

The David Evans trained Rohaan (best priced at 12/1) has a good record at Ascot with two course and distance victories and he is now beginning to look well handicapped. The four-year-old gelding won both the Pavilion Stakes and Sandy Lane Stakes last season before winning this race off a mark of 112.

Rohaan was only beaten two lengths in the Group 1 Flying Five Stakes at the Curragh at the end of last season before disappointing on his three starts so far in 2022. That has meant that he has dropped down to a mark of 109 which makes him look well handicapped on old form and it is interesting that connections have managed to retain Ryan Moore for the ride in this big field. I think the top weight will run well with up to eight places available on the race.

Rohaan - 0.5pts e/w @ 12/1
