John and Thady Gosden's colt was well fancied when finishing third on debut at Newbury and could put that experience to good use.

The winner of that race has since won a handicap off 71, so William Haggas' filly could be well treated off a mark of 68. Misscall went close at Goodwood and a 1lb rise looks fair, while Stuart Williams needs Amanda Hug'n'kiss to find her best form to figure in this, though she is starting to look well handicapped. Handicap debutants Best Wishes and Seascape Girl complete the shortlist in a competitive heat.

First Ruler was a shade keen early on at Doncaster last time but finished the race well to score and could go well again. He has to give 6lb to SWIFT TUTTLE here, though, and Brian Meehan's charge could take advantage. The Fast Company colt endured a torrid passage when second at Salisbury last time and the extra furlong here could prove ideal as he was finishing with some conviction last time. Frantanck won well at Goodwood last time and is interesting, as are newcomers A E Housman and Sense Of Wisdom.

However, he may have his work cut out trying to match REVEREND HUBERT, who continued his progression when winning readily from the front at Doncaster last time. Saint Riquier attracted plenty of market support when a close third at Chester on his latest start and also makes the shortlist.

MISTER BLUEBIRD produced a career-best performance when stepping up to 7f for the first time at Musselburgh on his latest start and the four-year-old makes plenty of appeal, despite going up 5lb for that success. Brazen Bolt has the positive of Harry Davies' 5lb claim, having displayed a consistent level of form so far in 2022, and he has to be of interest along with Dashing Dick.

ANTIPHON was just denied on his latest start at Newbury when headed on the line and the son of Kodiac appears to have further improvement to come, although this appears to be a very competitive event on paper. Spring Bloom is likely to be in the mix following a brace of seconds at Windsor in May, while Castana Dia, Abate and Crimson Sand are others worthy of consideration.
