An opening mark of 79 may underestimate the Kevin Ryan-trained THUNDERING, who has shaped well on all three starts this year. He's run once on the Tapeta here before when fifth behind Queen's Vase winner Eldar Eldarov last month and there appears nothing of that quality lurking in this field. Lizzie Jean was a most impressive winner at Kempton earlier in the month and looks to have solid claims of following up. The Churchill Lad ran well on his first start for Rebecca Menzies and is entitled to strip fitter for that outing.
Prediction : 1st Thundering 2nd Lizzie Jean 3rd The Churchill Lad

REVISION caught the eye when staying on well to finish second behind Changing Colours at Haydock on debut and, granted natural progression from that run, he's entitled to take some beating. Corporate Raider was last seen when sixth behind Chateau at Beverley in the Two-Year-Old Trophy and that form has received several boosts since. Newcomer Arbour Lane is a daughter of Dutch Art and any market confidence behind her would be significant.
Prediction : 1st Revision 2nd Corporate Raider 3rd Arbour Lane

FERGIE TIME is due to go up 3lb in future races due to his narrow defeat at Hamilton last week behind Shaladar. The Keith Dalgleish-trained gelding has some solid form in the book this year and, if he takes to this surface, he may take all the beating. Rocket Rod was an easy winner of his latest start over C&D but a 9lb rise tempers enthusiasm. Distinction has been knocking on the door of late and looks to have been given every chance by the handicapper.
Prediction : 1st Fergie Time 2nd Rocket Rod 3rd Distinction

If he can transfer his turf form onto the all-weather, it will be hard to oppose SHINING BLUE, who seeks to extend his unbeaten record in this. He just did enough to hold off Time Quest on his previous outing and a repeat performance looks very much on the cards with that run in mind. Baldomero drops fractionally down in trip after a decent third at Nottingham last month, while Hartswood will have to find more to compete.
Prediction : 1st Shining Blue 2nd Baldomero 3rd Hartswood

The Karl Burke-trained SILKY WILKIE retains the mark from his latest run on turf at Redcar, where he finished half a length behind Texas Man (rated 80 on turf). He makes his Tapeta debut with Sam Feilden claiming 7lb, which should aid his cause, so he merits consideration in this contest. Kape Moss can be feared having pulled clear at Goodwood on her latest outing over 5f last month, while Lovely Mana has no margin for error off top weight.
Prediction : 1st Silky Wilkie 2nd Kape Moss 3rd Lovely Mana

LION OF WAR won readily enough on his debut at Leicester despite hanging left inside the final furlong and with improvement expected, he could be good enough to successfully give 7lb to the rest of the field. Post Office Road caught the eye when running on into third at Carlisle on his debut despite being hampered and an added furlong here should suit, so he could get the better of the unraced Maximilian Caesar in the race for second.
Prediction : 1st Lion Of War 2nd Post Office Road 3rd Maximilian Caesar

Tickets is an improving sort who got off the mark at Kempton and there is every chance he has more to offer, but giving 5lb to EY UP ITS THE BOSS may be a big ask. The suggestion landed his hat-trick with a five-length success ar Redcar and although upped in class under a 6lb penalty, he is due to go up another 5lb for future races. Macchiavello is one to watch on his second start after wind surgery.
Prediction : 1st Ey Up Its The Boss 2nd Tickets 3rd Macchiavello
