Gordon Elliott and Sean Bowen have been a formidable team on these shores over the past few months and are taken to continue that here courtesy of BALLYQUIN BAY. The son of Malinas was last seen finishing strongly when third at Tramore and is tipped to relish this extra distance. Free Handshake was a little keen when fourth at Punchestown and, if settling better, he demands respect along with Mr Sundancer.

RAPID FLIGHT was attempting to win for the second time in five days when denied by the narrowest of margins here earlier this month. Although he has to concede 6lb to all of his rivals, his capable rider Charlotte Jones takes off a handy 3lb and he could go close. Western Run has yet to get off the mark over fences after nine attempts but this looks his best opportunity so far. Shantou Express also makes some appeal.

At a venue where course form often stands up, MAH MATE BOB gets the nod. George Bewley's 10-year-old won on his first visit here 13 months ago and was narrowly denied when returning to the track last month. That was a fine effort behind a winner who went very close back here a few days later and, just 2lb higher in the ratings, he looks to have a big chance. Glan Y Gors and chasing newcomer Post No Bills are the dangers.

A number of these look to have chances, but LOUGHERMORE produced a fine runner-up performance in a similar C&D event last month and he shades the verdict off a 4lb higher mark. Larry Looby stormed to victory at Hexham on his most recent start and, despite an 11lb hike in the ratings, he is very much one to consider. Oceans Red, Well Cliche and High Counsel are other in-form players with claims.

Malina Ocarina made an encouraging return to the track when runner-up over C&D earlier this month and, with that run under her belt, the seven-year-old can make a bold bid. However, she may have to play second fiddle to Irish raider A MERE BAGATELLE, who still gives the impression he has more to offer over hurdles. Course winner Demi Sang also merits consideration.

After being fitted with cheekpieces for the first time, BATTLE OF TORO could hardly have been more impressive when winning over course and distance last time and, with the headgear retained, the son of New Approach is tipped to follow up. Gordon Elliott's Ted Hastings bumped into a useful type when runner-up at Kelso on his latest start and warrants respect, while Haveyougotmymoney, a winner at Uttoxeter earlier this month, is another to note.
