Steve Ryder is back with two tips for today's action.
14:40 Newmarket
The David Simcock trained Universal Order (best priced at 11/4) won this race in 2020 when it was run on the Rowley Mile and I expect him to prove hard to beat again this year. The six-year-old ran well last time at Haydock off a big weight and the winner Contact ran well to finish 3rd in a Royal Ascot handicap on his next start.
Universal Order has 5lbs to find with Rebel’s Romance on ratings but arrives here in form and I expect him to prove hard to beat in this race.
15:45 Curragh
Aidan O’Brien has supplemented the filly Tuesday (best priced at 7/4) in his quest to win the Irish Derby for a record 15th time and I think she will prove hard to beat in receipt of 3lbs from the colts. She put in a fantastic performance to win the Epsom Oaks on her first try over 1m4f last time and is top rated in this field with a rating of 117.
Westover looked unlucky not to finish 2nd in the Epsom Derby but I feel the form of the Oaks will prove a stronger form line with Nashwa already boosting that from. Tuesday has form at the Curragh with a 2nd in the Irish 1000 Guineas and I expect her to prove hard to beat in this race.
