This might not take a great deal of winning so that makes BALGOWAN a standout for William Haggas. This son of Australia didn’t show a great deal on his first 3 starts but definitely shaped with a bit more conviction albeit down the field at Sandown on handicap debut. That is a race that has already been well advertised by the winner since going on to land a hat-trick. The selection was then beaten at Yarmouth but that looked a muddling affair and he only actually went down a length and a half at the line. He has first-time cheekpieces applied now and this track should suit better. He runs off the same mark and with Cieren Fallon getting the leg up could step forward enough to make the breakthrough. Little Emma Loulou looks the most obvious danger after winning at Carlisle but she is up 3lb for a narrow victory and needs to prove herself over this longer trip too. Satanic Moon has been consistent and likely won’t be far away again either.
