An open-looking apprentice handicap to kick things off, but LOTUS ROSE readily made all under today's rider at Redcar a month ago and a 5lb rise might not be enough to anchor her if arriving in the same mood. May Blossom was only beaten half a length over C&D last time and she is likely to give another good account, while So Smart, Dawson Lane and Boudica Bay are other names to note.
Prediction : 1st Lotus Rose 2nd May Blossom 3rd So Smart

Storm Chaser made the most of being allowed to dominate at Nottingham last week, winning by a whopping 26 lengths, and she warrants respect quickly turned out off the same mark, but the relatively unexposed GREEK FLAME shades the verdict. She produced a career-best performance when a neck second on her handicap debut over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton last time and this step up in trip could potentially unlock another gear. Bookmark and Iconique add further spice to the race.
Prediction : 1st Greek Flame 2nd Storm Chaser 3rd Bookmark

ECHO CHAMBER always looked to be doing enough when making all on her handicap debut over 1m4f at Leicester and, with Laura Pearson's claim effectively cancelling a 3lb rise for that effort, she could complete the double. Codswallop got off the mark over 1m2f at Nottingham last time and this longer trip is unlikely to bother him, while Sharp Combo and Tuddenham Green are other interesting players.
Prediction : 1st Echo Chamber 2nd Codswallop 3rd Sharp Combo

Endeared did well to finish third on his racecourse debut at Doncaster earlier this month, but he kept on late in the day suggesting he could need a stiffer stamina test. Therefore, preference is for HAWKES BAY, whose dam won on her debut over 6f at Nottingham. She then went on to win a Listed race comfortably over 7f at Newmarket, before being outpaced in a Group 1 at Longchamp. Moltisanti wasn't disgraced behind Lion Of War on his debut at Leicester and also merits consideration.
Prediction : 1st Hawkes Bay 2nd Endeared 3rd Moltisanti

Espressoo was outpaced in a big-field handicap at Ascot recently. She could struggle off top weight here, so THUNDER LEGEND gets the vote in first-time cheekpieces. William Haggas' charge retains the mark off which he produced a good second at Chester on his latest outing, and a drop in class could be just what he needs. Skittlebombz is another seeking for improvement with the application of headgear and remains of interest following a promising run on the all-weather.
Prediction : 1st Thunder Legend 2nd Espressoo 3rd Skittlebombz

A chance is taken on GWEEDORE (also engaged to run at Musselburgh on Wednesday), who, having held a fairly consistent level of form, returns to his last winning mark. Katie Scott's charge should appreciate the drop in trip as he seeks to repel the likely challenge of William Haggas' lightly-raced Substantial. Lost In Time is worth considering in first-time cheekpieces, while Palifico, a runner-up on each of her four latest starts, can also get involved.
Prediction : 1st Gweedore 2nd Substantial 3rd Lost In Time

KNIGHT OF HONOUR ran out a ready winner at Goodwood earlier this month, where he beat the reopposing Broadspear by two and a quarter lengths. The latter is 4lb better off at the weights this time, but John and Thady Gosden's colt was well on top at the line and it might be difficult for Broadspear to overturn that form. Hamaki makes his second start following wind surgery and, having been well supported at Sandown last time out, features prominently in calculations once more.
Prediction : 1st Knight Of Honour 2nd Broadspear 3rd Hamaki
