Getting weight from most of this field I’m going to chance the 3yo CHAIRMAN for Martyn Meade continuing his race by race progression here. This colt by Almanzor still looked to need the experience when chasing home Nahanni at Leicester but quickly improved to make all at Salisbury and then followed up impressively back down to this trip at Bath last time. He is up 7lb but still looks open to further improvement given this is just his fifth start and only second in a handicap. He will likely sit handy under Buick and might always be well positioned to take this out. Electrical Storm defied a lengthy absence to win at York last month but a 9lb rise looks a little harsh to me. If he improves up to this trip for the first time then he could still be the danger though. Forest Falcon showed a great attitude to tough it out in the Zetland Gold Cup last time and even up 6lb also deserves plenty of respect in opposition.
